Silicate is by the Multiple NY Grade One States winner, Waquoit. Waquoit won $2,225,360 in his racing career. He sired 29 stakes winners and 38 stakes placed. His get has won over $24 million. Silicate’s dam’s sire is Damascus, who won both the Preakness and the Belmont and came third in the Kentucky Derby. Damscus was a multiple stakes winner of $1,176,781. In 1967, he was horse of the year and also received the Eclipse award. In 1974, he was inducted into the U.S. Racing Hall of Fame. Damascus had 32 starts. He won 21, placed in 7 and 3rd three times. He sired 21 stakes winners and is known to be a great broodmare sire. This mare is a great asset to our breeding program. She is a descendent of Grey Dawn. This line is a known producer of top level jumpers. They are normally large horses with big bone, wonderful dispositions and warmblood movement. I love the Damascus line as well. This line also produces great jumpers with an excellent disposition and free movement.

Please note:  The scars on her hind legs are from a pasture injury.
