2008 was quite a year for Pegasus Farm.  In anticipation of the arrival of the Bethany College Equestrian program in September, extensive renovations took place around the farm, especially in the turn-out pastures and the secondary stables.  The Equestrian program is in full swing and the team is doing well.  The four foals we announced in our last edition are all healthy and beautiful, and we are expecting five more between April and June of 2009.  Of course, fund raising efforts for the 2012 Olympics were kicked off with a great Steak Fry in September – more about that below.  (more…)

Welcome back to our second edition of “The Bulletin”, a quarterly newsletter for our riders, boarders, sponsors and horse lovers!   We have had so much going this past spring and summer, it has been a whirlwind. 

We have had 4 foals since our last issue, all of which are healthy and beautiful.  Fund Raising efforts for the 2012 Olympics are in full swing and I hope you’ll join us for the Steak Fry in September.  And most exciting is that Bethany College  is moving their Equestrian Program to Pegasus Farm! With this, comes the exciting addition of our new Barn Manager, Betsy Tustin.  Welcome to “The Bulletin”, a quarterly newsletter for our riders, boarders, sponsors and horse lovers!   Our newsletter is  yet another exciting development for us this year.  We started with a new website, http://www.PegasusFarmWV.com.  There you will find more information with current updates, news, sale horses and more!  Through this newsletter, the website and even a new barn bulletin board, we hope to increase communication avenues.  We are always looking for your feedback and would welcome suggestions for our website and future editions of The Bulletin.  Call or e-mail us with your ideas!

Wheeling, WV  – Wheeling resident and native, Anne Kaufman placed an impressive 11th at the  Wellpride American Eventing Championships this month (Sept 13-16) at the Lamplight Equestrian Center just outside of Chicago, Illinois, along with her prized Palomino Thoroughbred stallion, Pegasus Pure Gold.  (more…)
