Welcome to Pegasus Farm
Our 160 acre farm is a full-service facility specializing in sport horse breading, with a focus on superior movement, correct conformation and presence for future generations of outstanding sport horses. We are home to “Pegasus Pure Gold”, the Jockey Club registered Palomino Thoroughbred stallion.
We provide instruction for competitive riders in three day eventing, dressage and hunter-jumper, as well as training for your horse from the ground up through any discipline. We also re-school the spoiled or difficult horse to help them become a better partner for you. Our complete boarding services with stable or pasture board are available for our training and instruction clients. Although limited, general boarding in pastures and stalls may be available. Please call or e-mail for availability and price.
Pegasus Farm Equestrian Center is located in the beautiful rolling hills of Wheeling in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. We are only one mile from West Liberty University, four miles from Bethany College, and six miles from Oglebay Resort. We are also home to the Bethany College Equestrian program.
The farm is owned and managed by Anne and Mark Kaufman. Anne is a 1993 graduate with distinction from Otterbein College with a major in Equine Science and a minor in Business. With her impressive education and 26 years of varied horse experience, Anne is the consummate horsewoman. She is also a three day event rider with several very promising home-breds that she is bringing through the levels. Anne’s goal is to compete with them at the international level and represent the United States on the Three Day Eventing team at the highest level.
